There are ppl who moved 2 or 3 months after getting GC and have got their USC

I went through the entire thread, i did not find any cases of people who had never used AC 21 and who left their employers right after 485 approval.
To be very specific, we need clarification on what the consequences are of leaving the sponsoring employer right after getting the GC esp people who never used AC21 and have been with the sponsoring company for several years before getting the GC.

Even if PD is not current, I believe you can convert CP to AOS. Check Murthy website or talk to them.
If this cannot happen for you then you should look for a change towards this provision.
But EAD & AP fro CP is not going to fly administratively. As others have stated it is contradictory.

It's really strange the surge in non-legal issues threads..
If the poster had any genuine hope of getting help she wouldn�t be posting it on a forum for foreigners who obviously have no lobbying power and if we did we will be using it for ourselves first.
Somebody is trying to establish an association between us and drug and other law breaking criminals..
Time to put these red dots to a good use.. Get�er boys :)
Lets get over with all the "conspiracy theories", times are tough and people are getting knocked down faster than 10 pins in a bowling ally, IV's brand value is way more than what it use to be, hence traffic/people come in here for redress-els, in no way does the name Immigration Voice directly tell anyone its for Legal based Green Card issues, so people come in here for all and any immigration based issues.

I know this is easier said than done but I think for most part I have moved on .I have not got my GC yet (PD Nov 2003 EB3 -India) but allow me to chime in .
Actually I had little interest in pursuing GC to begin with(Mistake). Could have started earlier than I actually did and was lucky to breeze thru Labour and 140 stages(< 6 months) and did not follow I-485 progress till June -1 st 2007
Then suddenly in next 4-5 months browsed every info /problems/issues with GC. Made 3 info pass appointments(Name Check cleared), initiated 2 separate inquiries one thru OMBUDSMAN. must have called USCIS about 10 times and checked the online status atleast 3 times a day . Pedantic. Mostly because my application was pre-approved and lot applications around my PD's were approved and I thought I was really close . Alas, that was not to be . I was pretty dissapointed for a few months.
However in the last 6 months I have moved on mentally, I browse IV and consider other options like switching to Eb2 but gone are those pedantic days followed by huge disappointments.
Planning a career move with AC21/EAD option.

Dont Know from past 20 yrs after coming out of college, for some reason I dont like Infy.
( It is not that I didnt get a Job there ) I had been to there couple of facilities in various cities in India for pre-sales and post sales product support.
I got their offer couple of years back and decided not to join. I was disguised the way the HR manager spoke. He was telling me to work for lower wage than what I was making for the privilege of working for them.

No transit visa required. I got an identical response when I checked with the german consulate in november. Nevertheless, I did not take transit visa, and with visa stamping expired in March 2010, I travelled with AP on Lufthansa from IAD to BLR in December, and returned in Jan 2011, and nobody even mentioned the word "transit" anywhere along the route. Lufthansa staff is very knowledgeable about AP, both in Wash.Dulles and BLR. In fact, In BLR I saw that even Air France also does not require transit visa for Paris and allowed people with AP to board without transit visa. So folks, dont waste time and money on transit visa. Nothing is going to happen , unless you miss your connecting flight in Frankfurt, in which case you will not get to stay in a hotel and would have to spend the transit time in the airport.

This is new rule implemented and by thinking you as senior if someone goes and faces problem will you be responsible. So please don't do this boss.
To All Who believe no need to have valid VISA while going back to India or their country.

I hope this clarifies your additional question. I suggest that you apply for an Airport Transit Visa as soon as possible to avoid any problems when travelling back to India via Frankfurt airport.

however, I have some questions. You say that the officer told you that your AP was approved on Oct 1, 2007. Did you see a LUD change that day in your status. If you did, what did it say. I ask because I got a LUD change on our AP on Nov 2 but the message is still the same as it was when i got the receipt notice. No mention of AP approved.
Ans: Yes, I already mentioned that in my write up. First (and only)LUD change happened for me on 10/1*/2007 and that is the approval date as per lady officer in USCIS. During LUD change message content never changed for me and still it is the same which is as under. so currently I have not received physical AP papers yet and on line status still does not show our AP aaproved yet I found our APs are approved during this infopass appointment.

A freind of mine came across a gentleman, who is here on work visa and he is facing a unique problem. He is married to two persons and wants to bring his whole family here in the USA. He was looking for answer if he can get both his spouses and kids here on H4 visas. Currently both of them and his kids are in India. Interesting hmmm :D

Is there any update on three bills in house. I have checked the hearing schedule for all committees and there seems to be no hearing scheduled for any of these bills. House is in session till September 7 and after that District work period and convention shows, which leaves us with just 4 weeks from now and after that It reconvens from September 9 with target adjournment date of 26th september and i m pretty sure no congressional rep will like to cast vote on any bills before going into election....
Prospects seems bleak now... Is there anything we can do...any last attempt that is required? If so...Let us all know...

Highly suspicious. I would call ICE and confirm. Also, I would ask this "officer" to visit at the workplace in presence of your lawyer. No one has any business visiting your residence for enforcement of a work-related visa. Be careful; consult with your attorney before entertaining any such request.
I second that. Why a visit at home? Workplace is the obvious place (actually calling YOU in the normal interview method). Call back and confirm... this could be a prank from some soon to be "ex" friend.
