Are you racist and believe that people of south asian descent are not skilled enough and hence do not deserve to even be on this forum, let alone engage dreams of an American citizenship?
you probably think you are the best and most skilled since you are from Dominican republic, and perhaps will not have to wait for a GC or even citizenship all that long. Look around, open your eyes, there are people from India/China who have been on this rollercoaster since 2001, and deserve a citizenship.

How about flexibility in changing jobs after I-485 filing
Three year EAD+AP
Counting the qualifying year for Citizenship from I-485 filing date.
Granting in-state status for students where their parents have I-485 pending for five years or more
Visa validation or stamping within US

Dude what is wrong in what Saralayar suggested. If we can do something like that, cant we compensate the delay that is causing in getting GC, in the citizenship process and reduce the effective damage. Not sure what was your reason to become so furious. This was in-fact a good idea and must be considered upon.

Logiclife, Looks like the statement that USCIS have to accpet the 485 applications all month on July inspite of availability of visa might not be true anymore. See below link

So you made it...........great news......just a day back we were in the same boat and ttoday many have made it to the shore ......I really feel happy for you guys.......i know in the long run and scheme of things we spend too much time on little things.....
I guess my planets are not aligned properly.....or may be Rahu has entered Ketu....
Oh How I wish to send you guys that coveted titled mail.......
My wife tells me if you get it anyone can get it.....ofcourse she is exasperated.....but it is true if i get it I guess the whole EB2 backlog will be clear till Jan 05 ....

When every one send individual letter, they will read the first one and then will just ignore others. Because the content and issue is same. When we 50+ people send one neatly drafted letter...I am sure it will draw considerable attention. Ron is willing to help us. I am not sure if we need to hire him for this. If so, how many of you ready to share the expense.

Received our approval notices in the mail today. Infact, our immigration attorney received them first. No emails, no SMS, no SRs. Online status still shows "Initial Review".
Its been almost 10 years to the date. I wish all my friends on IV good luck and hang in there.
Along the journey, IV has provided a lot of help & support and I will certainly be sticking around to help in whatever way I can.

I have not done a lot of analysis... looks like on 9/1 majority of approval were from TSC and 9/2 was NSC.... today again so far TSC... can you call it a pattern?

I was supposed to travel on 31 july to india and am considering changing my tkt to 17 aug or so....just in case...that's stupid huh?????
for someone who shouldn't have hope...why am i praying lol
eligible to file 485 before AUG 17th is your case must certify by July 31st period. eligibility is LC approval not on LC filing. if filing is considered ,in that case people who are stuck in BEC can also file before u.

Update: I received my renewed PP from CGI Houston. Here are the details

PP issue date : 27-Jun-2008
Fedex date :02-Jul-2008
Fedex attempted to deliver it on July 3rd but I was out of town till yesterday. I picked it up today (9th July). CGI-H took about 10 business days to process. I decided on purpose to send my application after June 15th, so that all the summer travelers would have renewed it by then. I dont know if that helped me, but I am happy I got new PP in 2 weeks.

I've mailed my application on 3/16 and received by Houston office on 3/18 as per fedex tracking..
I sent an email to passportcgihouston@swbell.net on friday and got the response that my application was not registered in their system..
Is there some waiting time to register the application in the system?? I'll send another mail after 2 days..hopefully it will be registered by then..
Have u got any updates on ur application?They have mentioned "three weeks" as the standard time frame on the website....i guess yours has been there for three weeks.....have u heard anything from them?

I think they should open the poll as people are still calling..I voted on the poll but by then I only called a few senators, now yesterday I called all of the senators, I would like to change my vote. If we open the poll we can track how many people called, can someone from the core do this??
