Can someone explain to me, why should we call USCIS and inquire about receipt notices just weeks after filing AOS application when USCIS clearly states that it takes 30 days to process a receipt. Can we at least respect that piece of information and wait for 30 days before calling?

Good that all of us are up and running tracking the progress of these bills but please don't forget to do your part. Every single call counts. Every single donation counts. Don't forget our strength is in numbers. The progress will be much to our benefit if all of us call the lawmakers and also contribute financially...

I am July 2 filer...
I mailed second set yesterday...
Then I thaught I mailed to Nebraska address then I mailed my third set to Texas center, dont want to take any chance whichever will be accecpted first.
I am smart...;)

Still your I 140 info does not show up. Also, my pd is of april 2006. But I -140 not approved yet, pending since june 2006. Ur new update is only giving me a good hope.

Good idea. Most of the Bay Area folks are in South Bay and I am sure would find it pretty easy to get to ICC.

For those in the Bay Area: Have you contacted the new Indian Community Center in http://indiacc.org/Default.aspx (they have locations in Milpitas and Sunnyvale)? I don't live in the South Bay, but it seems like this is a pretty active space. Wonder if they would let us give a talk, and/or post flyers etc. If no one has been in touch with them, I could try.

I am also an NCS-CSC-NSC transfer. Got LUDs on 2/10 on my/my wife's application. I just got an email saying an RFE was sent just for my application.
Anyone else that got RFEs after getting LUDs at the beginning of Feb? What were the RFEs for?

I recently moved to Houston TX for a new job on EAD and got a vertical driving license which is valid till 2015 but there is a line printed on it "Temporary visitor status expires july 2010" which is expirary date of my EAD card...
I think I will have to go to DMV again after getting new EAD card in 2010 to revalidate the new date

Are they still talking about increasing H1Bs? That will create a bigger mess and those new H1Bs will have to wait 20 years before they can apply I485. Hopefully those who wish to come here as H1B will know the reality and won't be "trapped" as some of us have.

i had a GC of a priority date 01-13-2003. Then my employer was kind enough to do one more simultaneous application with a date of 11-15-2004.
The attorney we were working with at that time exchanged the I140 between apps and he screwed up big time on my 2003. So we had to withdraw both my I140 approved 2003 application and the 11-15-2004.
Then we had to go back and apply for Perm and start the process again. I spent 5K and my employer about another 5K on 3 apps so far.
if it is fate on one side it was USCIS on the other, but god was on my side, and hence i am still in this country!!!!
