EB3 I - U :eek:
Someone wrote here that - only 78 EB3-Is got GC this year :mad: and they close the doors? Is this true? What are they trying to do slow poison us. @#$%* !:mad:
I am so fed up with this system! Whoever is doing this to us should have the most horrible diseases... aids gonorohea... and have to be castrated to save their life.:mad:
We need a Moses to deliver us! Maybe an Obama!
Lets do something to attract attention. How about going to Washington again? and send flowers at the same time.

What a contrast! You guys on the west coast are running in 100 degrees. My schedule forces me to run at 5.00 am...........in 3 layers of clothing @ 40 degrees.

For EB3 (All countries) to see some light, the changes made recently to the allocation of excess visa, spill over and also to over subscribed countries need to be revisited. Not sure, what triggered USCIS / DOS to revise the interpretation after so many years. Did IV had any role on this, or not .. do not know.. I ask this as based on all forum updates, IV appears to have little success in the Admin Fix area. I have posted this so many times in various threads and did not get an answer, may be there is none. If the interpretation was somewhat like before, EB2 /3 both would have got the spillover... and all would have benefited in the order of PD. Now with the new interpretation. all excess / spillover visa just goes only to 2 countries (EB2 India / China). Looking at the latest numbers based on USCIS website, China has far less cases compared in India based on the cut-off date, which is good for India (EB2), as they now consume a big chunk of the numbers and rest are left out for now. I am not sure, what is opinion on this from folks from ROW (EB3) on this. Does IV has any comment on this... Having said this, I have nothing against Eb2 or EB2 India specific, and not getting into the argument whether or not EB2 need to given much preference.. (Well DOS allocated on 28.6% of total numbers to both this category). This is just my concern on the changes to interpretation for the visa spill over process.
I agree with you completely. No rules were changed anywhere but DOS/USCIS changed the interpretation of spillover. Who approved this changed on whose authority?
In worst case, they should be giving equal share of spillover to both categories purely based on PD. So if 40K numbers are spilling over from EB1 and EB2-ROW then EB2-I/C should get 20K and EB3-ALL should get 20K.

I'm really concerned now, as like many I've also shipped my paper work to the attorney, but have NO control on when they are going to file.
Anyway, we have to deal with all this.
That's bad...really really bad. We spend so much time and money on getting documents ready, medical records and all that. In the end, something like this happens and our bad luck continues to grow.

I am not sure if a letter is going to help. I was going to suggest an SR but in your earlier post you said that your SR didn't work either. But if you are going to send a letter then I would suggest sending it to NSC. Your lawyer would have the address.
I also know that sometimes people write to their congressman asking him to look in to the case but I am not sure if that's a good idea.
The HR Manager at my company wants to send a letter inquiring about the status of my 485 application. My PD is current as of April VB and my RD is within the published Processing time. My application is at NSC.

i don't get it you are saying that members don't have to search...and yet someone has to keep it up on the home page...which is it? yes a sticky thread would have saved work and not required someone to keep it up. Why wasn't it done in the first place. When a service is supposed to be offered every week...it should be offered every week...or else there should be an announcement that is will not be offered this particular week and that it will continue next on said week.
No reason to be frustrated when people are asking simple questions...another idea would be to put the answers to the most frequently asked questions on the FAQ page...which does not work right now....so that you don't have to repeat the answers.
Its an easy solution i think.
Giving a long lecture of frustration is not the best way to attract people to an organisation.
Think about it...do u go buy clothes from a store that voices their frustrations about the prices of raw material...of do u go buy it because they were nice to you...had great customer service...nice selection of goods...and fair prices.
I am sorry but working for hours on end alone, voicing frustration at lack of participation, treating members like they are morons for not being able to find supposedly simple things is a really terrible way to attract more people to an organisation. The cause may be noble...but who will wanna join some organisation where people just complain about how miserable things are.
Please pause for a moment and think about what i am saying. This is exactly why you have less participation and less donation. IV needs to transform into a vibrant fun place to be while still upholding the noble cause.
This is just unbelievable nitpicking. Completely unproductive.
A "grassroots" organization like IV is what its members come to the table with - making it fun etc. is also dependent on the members - not some specific, designated individuals.

For having SSN benefits, 10 years of service is (=40 credits) required on US soil. To take those benefits you do not have to be a US citizen. Except for some countries, SSN dept can send the SS check to anywhere if mailing address is provided to it. And Green Card by definition is for "Permanent Residency" meaning as long as you renew your GC, you can be in US during your whole life time without becoming US Citizen.
There are some restrictions. After 10 years, if you opt for the one time payment of your SS benefits, then you can never enter US again.

Canadians don't have as many problems as Indians, but a broken system doesn't work for anyone. I know of Canadians who are also very frustrated with the system, myself included.

And you said "As some of you know...." . Were you trying in these lines before too. Can you direct me to any one of your forums more than 2 months old where we can see what you did before.
Trust me, in the past we knew of some guys who tried to distract the forum attention with proposals of doing somethings in the lines as you have said. Their goal is to distract and divert attention.
Not that we do not trust you, but we expect you have atleast your profile updated.
What do you do, when you come across someone who says I can get you a big job done for you, as I have contacts.. Not blindly trust, right.. We also check he his credentials. I am to some extent doing that, to be frank, not that everyone has profiles here with real information.
I told about you to my friends, and they asked me "Why do we trust him, dont you think he may be a Canadian who is trying to distract these innocent Indians and hence make sure they remain in backlogs"...
