There is an unpublished appeals office decision supporting the 3+2 equivalency to a US masters. It appears that some adjudicator do not necessarily follow the AAO decision however an attorney told me that if the case goes back to the AAO office then the AAO follows their own decisions. As far as I know the cases I am familiar with all were approved at some point (or are pending) when the AAO case was sited.
As far as the 3 year bachelor degree equivalence to a US bachelor degree there are notes from an AILA liaison meeting where USCIS stating: "Credential evaluations that provide a details comparison of credit hours completed by the beneficiary for the 3 year bachelor's degree program with credit hour required by comparable U.S. bachelor's degree program." Exactly what is meant by this is not clear. However, one might say that this indicates that they are at least open to accepting the 3 year equivalency to a bachelors degree.

I closed my PPF account twice and never paid a single paisa. The second one I closed when I was in US and got the forms here through my old employer and Signed and send those form back to that employer , they filed it, Don'y know if they attached "NOC" but I got all of my money (close to INR80K) in 2 or 3 weeks at my home address in India.
I guess no one needs to pay money for to PPF in any state all you need tyo do is follow the proper instructions, It's as good as in any bank.

We have threads like spelling bee going into multiple pages but not threads relevant and useful to us. Please vote not just for this but also have an open mind and participate in all activites. in my case, i can tell you that i found CSC to be faster in processing EAD and AP then NSC or TSC. just look at my details below.
the only disadvantage is that it will take a while for FP appointment.

I am currently on H1B visa and I want to switch the company. New company is not willing to do H1B transfer and want me to work on EAD. I have pending I485 EB3 ROW with priority date of March 2006. Its been more than 180 days that I filed for I485 so I can use AC21 with EAD.
But my question is how risky will it be if I switch job at this stage with EAD?

So this confirms FIRMLY that antis and BusinessWeek are working in tandem against legal immigration reform. Sometime back.. I read that BusinessWeek is for sale.. by McGraw Hill (its parent company). A cautious sense of freedom. Suddenly a lot more opportunities opened up and more employers started to show interest. My Desi employer is suddenly on the receiving end and I dictate the terms. Yes, Still workiing with them after 6 months, but that was my own decision to stick with them. Leaving them next month for a 50% raise in salary :)
- What did you do on the day you received it?
I got up at 7:00 that morning of Dec 3rd, (starting dec 3rd my date was not current anymore) , still half asleep, checked my email and got the shock of my life --"Welcome notice sent..." checked it multiple times then woke up my wife and almost dragged her to the computer and made her read the emails with half closed eyes... Our town recieved record rainfall that day and all streets got flooded, so no work :) Went to a Thai place for dinner that night with another family who are very close friend of ours.
-How did the long wait upset your life?
The feeling of uncertanity was terrible. Had to deal with the employer on a daily basis. They sat on my paperwork for 6 weeks, made me sign a million agreements and still did not file my case in June even though my date was current. I was devastated on the morning of July 2nd and rest is very well known to everyone here.
-How did immigrationvoice help you during this long wait?
What can I say? IV took me from what I mentioned in my last point to where I am right now - Waiting for my paycheck with 50% more and above that without any doubts about it coming :)
- Would you like to continue your support to immigration voice and help others waiting?

Ok, I've seen a lot of threads about go to the rally, actions items, I've reading a lot of guys saying dont ask for your receipt status, dont waste your time etc, etc.
What, are you 4 yrs. old man? If one works sincerely towards the cause, then he will realize the answer themselves, please try & think about that. Please help us work towards the goal. Nothing happens overnight, hope you are old & experienced enough to realize that or you must be an armchair quarterback. Please listen to "Time" by Pink Floyd & get your priorities straight.
